Motherwell Fortunes
Prior to the November internationals, Motherwell suffered a narrow 2-1 lose at home to Hearts.
The result meant the Steelmen hadn’t won a game in nine matches.
It was a keenly contested match the last time the two sides met. With game still deadlocked after 87 minutes, Celtic found the back of the net before Blair Spittal levelled with seemingly the last kick of the ball. Matt O’Riley would go up the other end to find the winner.
Opposition Report
Celtic are eight points clear at the top of the table, with Brendan Rodgers hitting the ground running in his second spell in charge.
Yet to taste defeat in the cinch Premiership this campaign, they have conceded only seven goals.
A familiar face to Motherwell, academy graduate David Turnbull is back to his near best this season. He has six goals to his name in all competitions having only started seven matches in total.
Summer signing Luis Palma has also adjusted to life in Scotland quickly, the winger has five goals and five assists in just 12 appearances.
