‘Well boss Stuart McCall expects a tough encounter against Lanarkshire neighbours Hamilton Accies at New Douglas Park tomorrow.
The Steelmen have steadily improved over pre-season and were in impressive form when Everton visited Fir Park at the weekend.
Accies were also in action themselves on Saturday, churning out a brilliant result against Owen Coyle’s Bolton Wanderers and McCall is certain his side will have to be at their very best to win the match.
“We’ll mix the squad up again,” he admitted.
“The majority of the first-team will play at Hamilton but three of four will play against Partick Thistle on Wednesday just to mix it up a little.
“Hopefully Shaun Hutchinson and Bob McHugh will get a part of the game tomorrow night too. They both came through training today unscathed so we’ll be looking for them to kick on.
“Accies had a great result against Bolton and we wanted to take the game for the way the play.
“Billy Reid likes his players to get the ball down and pass so we will have to work hard to stop them. It’s a Lanarkshire derby, they will be right up for it for sure, so the onus is on us to step it up and approach the game with the right mentality.”
