Stuart Kettlewell opted for the loan signing of Welshman Jack Vale to aid his lack of striker options in his team. A product of the Blackburn Rovers Academy, Vale found the back of the net regularly at Under 18 and 21 level for the Rovers. 

Making his first team debut in 2020, Vale has already recorded 18 appearances for the first-team, whilst also spending time out on loan at Halifax Town, Rochdale and Lincoln City.

Vale joined Motherwell initially on a six-month loan deal in January 2024. Quickly impressing with his work-rate and impressive technique, Kettlewell brought Vale back on a second loan deal in the summer. Before he could make his mark again, Vale suffered injury and went back to Blackburn to recover in September. Returning to action for the start of 2025, he is now looking to lock a starting 11 spot down and add goals to his game.
