Callum Slattery signed for Motherwell from Premier League outfit Southampton in 2021, on a three-year deal.
A graduate of the Saints’ youth academy, where he made three Premier League appearances, the midfielder has also played on loan with Gillingham and Dutch side De Graafschap.
Winning back-to-back goal of the season awards at Motherwell in 201/22 and 2022/23, Slattery’s impressive control and skill on the ball, has meant was well on his way to reaching 100 games for Motherwell.
After appearance 94 however, he would be made to wait for number 95. 369 days to be exact due to a serious knee injury ruling the midfielder out for over a year. During his spell on the sidelines, he signed a new deal keeping him at the club for a fourth season. He made his return to action against Aberdeen in January 2025, and scored his first goal since coming back a week later against Hibernian from a free-kick.
