The Story of the Match
Dundee United go into this one with Liam Fox in temporary charge following the earlier sacking of Jack Ross. The Tangerines are still searching for their first league win but a midweek win over Livingston in the Premier Sports cup will give them confidence.
Motherwell also bounced back from a disappointing defeat to Kilmarnock, with a convincing cup win over Inverness Caley Thistle at Fir Park.
Kevin van Veen continued his fine goalscoring by netting a hat-trick, taking his tally to seven goals in six domestic games.
In what is usually a tight fixture between evenly matched teams, home advantage has proven to be key, with the team playing at home only losing once in the last 9 meetings.
