Brand protection

Motherwell Football Club has a unique brand that is recognised throughout football.

With that comes the issue of counterfeiters and unauthorised sellers who use our club trademarks on products which do not benefit our club.

Unauthorised products are made separate from the club and without the standards we set in the production of official products.

The sale of non-official products also has a direct and negative impact on the revenues of our fan-owned club.

We take the defence of our intellectual property rights seriously and will seek to protect our rights when necessary.

If you become aware of any counterfeit or unauthorised goods displaying the Motherwell brand, please help us by reporting it to motherwell@backfour.co.uk.

All information provided will be treated in confidence and will only be shared with relevant agencies.

Fair use

The club does allow for some use of its trademarks, in particular the club badge, on a non-commercial basis.
