The team at club sponsors Channel Finance Group will be participating in this years Kiltwalk from Clydebank to Balloch on April 24th.
This year, the company will be raising money for it’s Charity of the Year, Brain Tumour Research UK. With just 1% of the national spend on cancer research being allocated to brain cancer but 16,000 people diagnosed with a brain tumour every year, this charity works to support scientists searching for a cure for this highly underfunded area of research.
CEO of Channel Finance group, Michael Savage, said the following about why we will be sponsoring this charity:
“Brain Tumour Research is a charity that is personally close to myself and family. By becoming a corporate sponsor of Brain Tumour Research, we aim to raise as much money as possible to help combat this awful disease and the stigmas that are attached to it. We hope that we will be able to make even a small difference in supporting those going through it and their families and look forward to following the amazing advancements being made in this important research.”
Thanks to Sir Tom Hunter, any donations made to Kiltwalk participants will be doubled! We would very much appreciate any donations people could spare to support our team’s efforts in the Kiltwalk and make a difference to this brilliant charity.
Thank you for any support you can give and we hope to see lots of you there!
