The year 2019 was a momentous one for Motherwell FC.
The clearing of the club’s debt. The explosion of young talent coming through. The “transformational” David Turnbull move to Celtic which fell through. And the team reaching a record points tally in a calendar year, ending the decade in third place in the Scottish Premiership.

Saturday 29 December 2019 marks 12 years to the day since the untimely passing of Phil O’Donnell.
Our club captain, a fantastic role model and an incredible man, his loss is still felt as strongly today.
He remains part of our club and everyday lives. His memory and legacy is all around us at Fir Park, particularly with the Phil O’Donnell Stand and the various mementos of his career which adorn the stadium.
We ask fans to join in a minute’s applause in the 10th minute of our match with Hamilton Academical to pay tribute to his life.
