Matchday accreditation
All journalists and photographers require valid accreditation for fixtures at Fir Park, applied for on a match-by-match basis.
For accreditation, news desks must send an email from or on behalf of the editor, or an equivalent senior position, to press@motherwellfc.co.uk no later than 48 hours before the fixture itself. The email should detail who will be attending, their title and the publication in which any report is intended to appear.
The club may request proof of credentials, particularly from freelancers or newly established media organisations/outlets.
If your application for accreditation is approved you will typically receive a confirmation email. To pick up your match-by-match pass, present this confirmation, together with proof of your identity, at the press entrance to the ground.
Parking
The club has a limited number of press and media parking spaces available on a first-come, first-served basis in the Knowetop School car park behind the John Hunter Stand. Notification of parking arrangements will be detailed in the confirmation email.
Refused accreditation
The club reserves the right to refuse requests for accreditation which arrive after the deadline or don’t fulfil the relevant criteria. If your accreditation application is refused, you can still visit the ground as a spectator.
Broadcast media rights holders
At the end of the match, the management and players of Motherwell and the opposing team are available for interviews with representatives of broadcast media rights holders on request.
No access can be granted to the trackside and tunnel area for representatives of broadcast media that are non-rights holders, or to representatives of the press.
Facilities
Fir Park has over 68 press seats, a roof mounted gantry for television coverage and a press-room for post match interviews. ISDN lines are only available to press and media who have installed their own lines at the ground, although visiting clubs are allocated a power socket and ISDN line in accordance with competition regulations.
Media conferences
Following the broadcast media interviews, a post-match press conference will be held with the management and players of Motherwell, as well the opposing team, available for interviews. All media can attend these briefings if space permits.
The club will also hold pre-match press conferences on an individual basis on a weekly basis for matches being played. Information on these are relayed by email to the media. To be added to our press circulation list, please contact us using our contact form.
