We can provide the following update with regards to ticketing for last Saturday’s match against Ross County.
When the extenuating circumstances arose on Saturday morning, and with weather conditions only getting worse, we advised all supporters not to travel on the A9 to Inverness.
Having clarified Ross County were not prepared to offer ticket refunds to those who were unable to attend the match despite buying a ticket, the club board engaged with the Well Society board immediately.
Both parties felt the right thing to do was to offer ticket refunds to any supporter who could not attend due to the extreme weather/travel advice.
We have now received the sales and entry data from Ross County and can move the process forward.
If you were one of those who bought a match ticket(s) and couldn’t attend the game, and you wish to be refunded, please email tickets@motherwellfc.co.uk with your name and contact number clearly stated. Please note, only the person who purchased the tickets will be offered a refund.
Our ticketing department will be in contact thereafter.
“We felt this was the right thing to do in this instance,” Chief Executive Brian Caldwell said.
“Lots of our supporters were left out of pocket, through no fault of their own. We’re a fan-owned club, and this is a spectator sport. We want to ensure supporters feel valued, and hopefully this is a small gesture they appreciate.
“Thank you to all who made the journey to Dingwall and to those who attempted it. I hope everyone returned home safely.”
