Kian Speirs has joined Stenhousemuir on loan for the rest of the season.
The 17-year-old made his first-team debut in the first game of the season against St Mirren when he came off the bench in the second half.
The young midfielder made his debut on Saturday against Livingston in the Scottish Cup.
Steven Hammell was pleased with his side’s 0-2 win over Arbroath in the Scottish Cup.
“It was a test of our character and attitude coming here but we done what we came here to do which is progress to the next round.”

With seconds left on the clock Mandron grabbed his second, poking in Goss’ cross and settling any potential nerves and saw Motherwell into the hat for the draw for the next round which will take place on Sunday, January 22 at 6pm.
He may only be 16-years-old, but Lennon Miller has achieved a lot in the early days of his footballing career.
Training with first team players at 13 has accelerated his progress and prepared in him from an early age.
Despite losing his mum at a young age, Miller has went from stride to stride impressing scouts, coaches and fans alike, promising to himself that he would do his mum proud.
As soon as he was eligible, Steven Hammell introduced him to first-team training and put him straight into matchday squad.
Making his professional debut against Inverness CT in August 2022, making him the youngest Motherwell player ever, Miller has since went on to make his league debut at Ibrox against Rangers.
Scoring from the halfway on his international debut for Scotland, which subsequently won him ‘Scotland’s 2021 goal of the year’, he went on to represent his country at the Under 17s Euros despite only being 16.
One Motherwell certainly consider for the future, Lennon Miller is already well on his way to becoming a top player.
Motherwell travel to cinch Championship side Arbroath in the fourth round of the Scottish Cup and manager Steven Hammell says the mentality has to be spot on should Motherwell want to progress.
In a game where Motherwell are labelled favourites, Hammell is wary of the quality Arbroath have within their ranks and doesn’t want to see any cup upsets.
Goalkeeper Matty Connelly has joined Stranraer on loan for the rest of the season.
The 19-year-old joins up with the League Two side for his third loan move at Motherwell.
Stranraer’s first choice goalkeeper is currently injured, allowing Connelly to get minutes on the park.
“Matty has shown terrific quality since I arrived at the club,” head of goalkeeping Neil Alexander said.
“He trains with the first-team every day so I feel now is a good opportunity for him to show what he has been learning on the training pitch, into regular first-team matches.
“He is someone I think highly of and look forward to monitoring his progress.”
He may only have arrived seven days ago, but Mikael Mandron is ready to get cracking in a Motherwell shirt.
The striker arrived from Gillingham a week ago and wants to make an impact from the get go, starting against Arbroath in the Scottish Cup.
After their valiant point against one half of the old firm on Wednesday, Motherwell take on the half on Sunday when they take on Rangers.
Kick off is 4pm at K-Park.

Motherwell recorded an impressive point against Celtic midweek, after defeat to Hibernian the previous weekend.
It’s been a decent run of form for the women of steel, who have recorded two wins and two draws in their last five matches.
Rangers are currently third in the league, recording no losses thus far.
Their last defeat came in the Champions League against Benfica, however the Gers did draw a blank last Sunday when they drew 0-0 with Hearts at the Oriam.
David Clarkson is our new academy director.
The 37-year-old made 227 appearances for Motherwell over two spells at Fir Park.
Scoring 47 goals for the club, Clarkson moved down south to Bristol City in 2009 where he continued his impressive career.
In his career, he represented at national level making his debut for Scotland in May 2008.
After retiring in 2018, he started working with the academy as our head of youth.
“I feel privileged to be given this opportunity” David Clarkson said.
“In my time working with the academy, Steven has done a terrific job at bringing through players and I have been able to learn a lot from him.
“My goal is to keep the pathway from academy level to the first-team open for players, as that is what Motherwell is all about.
“I have a long association with this magnificent club and I am pleased that will continue going forward.”
Working closely with now first team manager Steven Hammell in this role, Clarkson takes over from Hammell’s previous position as academy director.
“This is an important role at Motherwell as bringing through youth and young prospects is the model of the club,” manager Steven Hammell added.
“Seeing the likes of Luca Ross, Lennon Miller and Kian Speirs all making their first-team debuts this season, only goes to show this.
“I look forward David taking this role up and will continue to monitor the progress within our academy.”
