Sam Foley has joined Motherwell on a deal until the end of the 2020/21 campaign.
The midfielder signs from St Mirren, moving to Fir Park on a permanent basis.
“It’s great to finally get Sam over the line,” said ‘Well boss Graham Alexander of his new recruit.
“We’re looking for players who suit how we want to play and improve the strength of our group.
“Sam has the ability, experience and motivation to help us and we look forward to working with him on a daily basis.”
Foley, 34, started his career with Cheltenham Town and went on to spend time with Bath City, Kidderminster Harriers, Redditch United and Newport County earlier on in his career.
Having played almost 500 career games so far, he has also been on the books of Yeovil Town, Shrewsbury Town, Port Vale and Northampton Town, lining up alongside Christopher Long and Harry Smith with the Cobblers.
A move north came in 2019 with St Mirren, playing 46 times in black and white before switching to Fir Park.
Foley will wear the number 37 jersey and is available for Motherwell’s next Scottish Premiership fixture against Dundee United on 3 February.
