Motherwell FC has today confirmed Marlon Beresford as the club’s new Goalkeeping Coach.
The 47-year old enjoyed a twenty-year playing career in England, turning out for clubs like Sheffield Wednesday, Burnley, Middlesbrough, Wolves, Bradford and Luton, where he was teammates with Steelmen boss Stephen Robinson.
After his playing career came to an end, he worked with the Irish FA and also coached the goalkeepers at Barnet.
He will now team up with coaching staff at Fir Park to work directly with Craig Samson, Russell Griffiths, Peter Morrison, Ollie Pain and Jordan Pettigrew.

Speaking to motherwellfc.co.uk, Marlon said: “It all happened very quickly, but I’m delighted to be here and I look forward to linking up with Stephen Robinson again.
“I’ve known him for a long time – I played with him at Luton and he took me to Northern Ireland to work with the under 21s, 19s and 17s over there so I jumped at the opportunity to come here.”
He added: “Not only do I know the gaffer well, but I know Stephen Craigan too so it’s been really easy settling in, everyone has been very friendly and welcoming.”
